Logo design is a competitive field. As businesses grow, they need to update their logos and branding so that they can stay current with the market. Here are 13 logo design ideas that will be popular in 2022!
1) The “e” symbol is a popular emblem and can be used to create a repeating pattern.
The first idea for 2022’s logos are ones that play on the letter ‘e’. It will appear as either an individual letter or repeated in a pattern across the logo design. These designs work well with businesses that sell things like technology or retail goods because they’re easy to read from afar and evoke modernity. This type of design would also be great for food packaging!
2) Grid-based logos are a trend that’s been around since the 1920s and will continue to be popular in 2022.
The second idea for logo designs in 2022 is grid-based design, which has been trending since the 20th century but continues to grow more diverse with time. This type of design works well as an initial mark because it makes it easy to identify your company or organization from afar, while still being simple enough to create variations on uniform colors. It also can work for branding companies who want their brand name and identity represented by a strong symbol! Plus, this style would look great on t-shirts too!
3) Texture
The third idea is using textured backgrounds or adding interesting textures that go beyond your standard black-and-white background. This trend has been popularized by flat design with some added transparency effects, but it’s also worked really well when applied to more realistic logo styles too. Plus there are so many creative options for incorporating texture (custom shapes? custom colors?) into these types of logos – plus you can use them on anything from business cards to t-shirts!
4) Line art
Line art has been having its moment lately, and we love how it adds dimensionality and creativity to designs. It also makes really great use of negative space – which also happens to be another trend happening right now (think about how many people have started wearing all-black clothing). The possibilities here are endless too – think about incorporating different textures such as metallic foil paper layered on top of some bold lines!
5) More geometric shapes!
Geometric designs are really hot right now, and we think they can be a great way to add some pizzazz to your logo. Maybe even use an asymmetric shape like the triangle? It’s such a simple design element but also so effective in giving off that modern vibe – it would work well for any company looking to portray themselves as fresh and new, or innovative (think about how many companies have logos with triangles!).
6) More colors!
It’s not always easy to leave your logo with a single color, but there are some really awesome ways you can make it work. We love the idea of using different shades and tones as well – for instance, if your main color was black or navy blue, try adding in slightly brighter blues like teals and purples for an accent. It will give off that extra little sparkle without being too overpowering or hard on the eyes (and might just be enough to get people to take another look!).
7) Unique shapes
Another fun way to get people’s attention is by using a unique shape. For instance, if you’re working with the element of water (which we know can be tricky!), try an octagon or diamond and see what it does for your logo. Not only will this give off that “cool factor” but also make your company look more modern!
8) Text
If you’re a company that revolves around words or phrases, then this is the way to go! Keep your logo clean and simple with just enough text so people can find out what it says. Not only will this help make sure nobody gets confused but also show off some of those creative skills we know you have deep down inside (we all do!).
9) Negative space
This is a super cool concept that can be used in a lot of different ways. You will essentially add graphics on top of or inside another element so it looks like they are one thing when really they aren’t! This could also become the main focus if done right and made to look pretty sharp. Not only is this great for logos but can also be used in your branding and marketing materials.
10) Typography
Typography has become a huge part of logo design and branding in general. Since the dawn of writing and marketing materials, we’ve been using typography to get our messages across. It is still as big now as it ever was with some designers even going so far as making logos out of nothing but letters and numbers.
11) Gradients
Gradients are making a comeback in logo design. They’ve always been around but they seem to be more popular than ever before with many designers using them in their logos and branding materials alike. This is due to two reasons, one being that it can turn something simple into an eye-catching image or icon. And two, gradients are a lot easier to work with than they have been in the past which means more people can create them and do so quickly.
12) Arc
The arc is more of a branding element but it can be used in logos too. This trend comes from the fashion world and has been seen on things like T-shirts, shoes, etc. The design itself is simple enough with an arc shape made out of lines or circles usually being what you’re going to see.
