Biography
Once a lawyer practicing for 4 years, I took a leap of faith to follow my creative instincts and became a UI/UX, graphic designer. Drawing on my legal background, I bring empathy, critical thinking, and a knack for understanding people’s needs into my design work. Today, I’m focused on crafting user-centered experiences that blend creativity with purpose, turning ideas into solutions that truly resonate.
Experience
The leap from law to design was as thrilling as it was a mix of excitement, challenge, and reward. My adventure began in January 2022, when I joined Skunkworks Communications as a graphic designer. This agency, specializing in digital ads, was where I first honed my foundational design skills.
As I delved deeper, I stumbled upon the world of UX/UI design, initially a curious discovery I had to Google and found myself captivated. The more I learned through case studies and side projects, the more I realized that UX design was the perfect intersection of creativity and purpose that I’d been searching for.
In mid-2024, I took on my first app design project as a freelancer, marking the start of my transition into UX/UI design. The journey felt like jumping off a cliff and crafting a parachute on the way down. But my legal background gave me an unexpected edge: critical thinking, empathy, and the ability to understand people’s motivations. In law, I uncovered what drove my clients; in design, I strive to understand users’ thoughts, feelings, and needs. Both fields share a common thread: a commitment to research, hypothesis testing, and storytelling.
